Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Billy Barry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Piotr Hallman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Billy Barry has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Billy Barry!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Piotr Hallman!
The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Fedor Mirinova and Dmitry Maklakov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Barry fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Hallman, pushing him back against the cage.
Barry tries to circle away but Hallman has him pinned against the cage.
Barry looking to slow down the pace here.

Barry jumps guard.
Hallman controlling from the top position.
Hallman wants to control from the top but Barry keeps moving.
Hallman looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Barry will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Barry is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Barry is trying to control the position but Hallman postures up.
Hallman works a leg free and moves into half guard.

Hallman is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Barry is looking to escape.
Barry wants to improve his position but Hallman is controlling well.
Hallman is controlling the pace.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Hallman looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Hallman working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
Hallman throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Barry to regain full guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Barry tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Barry keeping moving, preventing Hallman from controlling successfully.
Hallman stays in close to Barry's body and controls the position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Hallman shoots in and bounces Barry off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Hallman sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Barry's guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Barry is staying active underneath Hallman, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Barry is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Hallman passes to side control.
Hallman is looking to take a break and control but Barry is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
The referee asks Hallman politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Hallman prefers to stall for the moment though.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Piotr Hallman dominated that round.
That's time! Barry's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.



Hallman shoots in and gets a takedown into Barry's guard.
Hallman stands and throws Barry's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Hallman is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Barry knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Hallman tries for a kimura but Barry is defending well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hallman wants to control but Barry is keeping him busy.

Hallman is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Barry is trying to escape and Hallman transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Barry is forced to tap! Nice work there by Hallman! Very nice indeed!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:26 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Piotr Hallman!
A relieved looking Piotr Hallman thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
