The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gouveia moves out of range as Wayde throws a body kick.
Gouveia scores with a three punch combo!
It looks like Alvin Wayde has been cut.
Gouveia drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Gouveia controlling the position.
Gouveia seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Wayde for as long as he can get away with.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wayde is trying to get back to half guard.
Gouveia has hold of Wayde's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Wayde seems comfortable defending it but Gouveia has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Wayde is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Wayde is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Gouveia couldn't care less - he's delighted!
