Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Martin Hewitt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Edmundo Edilhson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Martin Hewitt!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 18 - 1, fighting out of New York, Edmundo Edilhson!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Gregory Folan and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Edilhson swings for the body but Hewitt moves out of range.
Hewitt feinted with a counter takedown.

Hewitt moves into range and clinches up with Edilhson.
Edilhson lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Hewitt is working for takedown but Edilhson is calmly controlling the position for now.
Hewitt misses with the head strike.
Edilhson lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Hewitt.
Edilhson is trying to push Hewitt away but Hewitt has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Hewitt tries to work over Edilhson's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Edilhson jumps guard.

Hewitt thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Hewitt sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Edilhson's guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Edilhson actively working from the bottom here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hewitt seems to be looking for submissions.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hewitt wants to free his trapped foot but Edilhson is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Hewitt is trying to control the action in half guard but Edilhson is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Hewitt is trying to work for a kimura but Edilhson is defending well.
Edilhson is looking for a sweep. Hewitt is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Hewitt wants to take a breather but Edilhson is having none of it.
We've been hearing that Hewitt has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

Edilhson is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Hewitt has latched onto it... Big trouble! Hewitt pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Edilhson is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Hewitt!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Martin Hewitt!
A victorious Martin Hewitt thanked his army of followers in his post fight interview, telling people to make sure they follow him on Twitter.
Edmundo Edilhson was interviewed post fight and said 'Great fight "The Lone Wolf" Booker McQuade I managed to get you in an armbar the first fight but you won fair and square this time I will be back to get my title tho!'.
