Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Asko Vilenius (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Delvin Shore (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Vilenius might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Surfin Bird. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Delvin Shore! The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Colin Fray and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shore doesn't manage to clinch there - Vilenius circles away.
Vilenius ducks right into an uppercut from Shore.
It looks like Asko Vilenius has been cut. Shore swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Vilenius counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Vilenius takes a swing at Shore's ribcage but misses. Shore closes the distance but Vilenius moves to the side and Vilenius counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. A big right from Vilenius misses. Shore has Vilenius up against the cage in a clinch.
Shore breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

That's one minute gone in the round. Vilenius takes a swing at Shore's ribcage but misses. Vilenius uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Shore has time to react. Shore is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Vilenius shoots for a takedown but Shore saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Vilenius scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Shore doesn't seem bothered though. Vilenius lands with a right hand. Shore tries to clinch but Vilenius is having none of it. Vilenius throws a body punch but Shore moves out of range. Shore swinging wildly here.
Vilenius fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Shore manages to avoid it. The fight moves into the clinch position. Shore manages to break the clinch.
Vilenius has been working on his balance at Kombat MMA, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Shore. Shore pushes Vilenius up against the cage in a clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Vilenius lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Shore backwards. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! A short body shot lands from Vilenius as the two fighters clinch.

Vilenius is trying to defend but Shore finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Vilenius is looking to improve his position.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Shore gets to his feet - Vilenius follows without any prompting. Sloppy strikes from Shore. Those never looked like landing. Vilenius moves out of range of the strikes. Shore tries to clinch but fails miserably and Vilenius counters with a nice body shot. Vilenius feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Shore gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Vilenius works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Vilenius postures up.

Vilenius is thwarting Shore's attempts to control the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Shore is trying to stand up here but Vilenius is controlling him well.

Is there anything that Shore can do to turn this around? Shore is trying to get back to full guard. Shore won't allow Vilenius to pass to mount. Shore tries to roll over but Vilenius keeps him under control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Asko Vilenius overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Shore makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Shore. Vilenius sitting in guard here, content to control. Shore looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Vilenius passes into half guard.

Shore takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. And that's the end of the fight! Asko Vilenius showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Vilenius, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
