And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
StGeorge throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
A shot to the liver by StGeorge. Beautiful body shot.
StGeorge lands a nice shot to the body.

StGeorge shoots in and bounces Daniel off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Daniel will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Daniel preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

StGeorge wants to get up but he can't break Daniel's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Daniel is striking but StGeorge is not phased and passes to half guard.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
StGeorge wants to free his trapped foot but Daniel is holding on for dear life with his legs.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
StGeorge keeps the fight on the outside.

StGeorge closes the distance and clinches.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Daniel breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Daniel tries to clinch there but StGeorge circles away.
StGeorge attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
StGeorge tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Daniel counters with a three punch combo that has StGeorge backing up. StGeorge nods at Daniel to acknowledge the strikes.
Daniel tries to close the distance and clinch but StGeorge swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
StGeorge drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Daniel defends it well.
StGeorge swinging wildly here.

Oooooh!!! StGeorge has knocked Daniel down with a huge combo! StGeorge steps away and waves a wobbly Daniel back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Daniel is rocked!

It looks like Keneth Daniel has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

StGeorge rushes Daniel and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Oh Daniel is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

StGeorge successfully pulls guard.
StGeorge tries to land a sweep but no joy.

StGeorge has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Daniel is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

StGeorge breaks from the clinch.

Daniel gets tackled into the cage by StGeorge. StGeorge maintains the clinch.

StGeorge dips a shoulder and cracks Daniel with a mighty uppercut! Daniel falls back against the cage and StGeorge unloads with a barrage of strikes! Daniel is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - StGeorge screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
