Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Leandro Rodrigues and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beast Mode fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Gracie sprawls well initially but Beast Mode persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Gracie has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Beast Mode is working away from the top position though.
Beast Mode thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Beast Mode is looking to take a break and control but Gracie is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Beast Mode is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Gracie wants to control but Beast Mode is keeping busy.
Gracie is looking to improve his position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Beast Mode working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Gracie has his foot on Beast Mode's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Beast Mode works his way back into a safe position though.

Beast Mode's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Gracie is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Beast Mode defends well.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Beast Mode's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Gracie escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Beast Mode gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Gracie wants to control the action here but instead Beast Mode manages to pass to full mount!

Gracie has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Beast Mode can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

David Beast Mode showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Beast Mode is looking to defend but Gracie has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Beast Mode! Gracie pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Beast Mode taps out and this one is all over!

A pretty intense looking Kron Gracie took the opportunity post-fight to ask for a shot at the title.
