Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Blaze (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pavel Dubrov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Blaze comes to the cage accompanied by Monster by Skillet. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
18 - 13 - 3, fighting out of Las Vegas, Johnny Blaze! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
17 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Pavel Dubrov! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Blaze tries a head kick but it misses.
The fight moves into the clinch position. Blaze tries for a takedown. No joy.
Blaze throws a punch but it's blocked by Dubrov. Dubrov tries to work over Blaze's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Blaze is looking for a takedown. Blaze blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Dubrov has Blaze pushed against the cage. Dubrov tries to land a knee to the head but Blaze blocks with his arms.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dubrov working aggressively here.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Dubrov. Dubrov with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Blaze wants to take the fight to the mat but Dubrov manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Johnny Blaze. That's going to take a lot out of him. Still in the clinch, Dubrov scores with a nice short uppercut. Blaze throws a punch but it's blocked by Dubrov.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dubrov is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Blaze is defending well. Blaze jumps guard but Dubrov stands there with Blaze around his waist. Blaze gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

It looks like Johnny Blaze has been cut. Blaze goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Dubrov is pressed up against the cage. Blaze has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Dubrov down to the mat. Dubrov avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Dubrov has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Blaze is landing a low percentage of strikes. Blaze uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Dubrov.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Dubrov lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Blaze has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Blaze and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Blaze darts in looking for a takedown but Dubrov gets double underhooks and turns Blaze into the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dubrov wants to clinch. Blaze avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Blaze fails with a takedown attempt. Blaze fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Dubrov avoids it really well and circles away. Dubrov's corner calls for a 1-2. Dubrov obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Blaze walks into a left hand. Pavel Dubrov is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Dubrov looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Blaze dives in and scores a takedown into Dubrov's guard. Dubrov manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Dubrov missing with a left hand there. Blaze was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. It looked like Blaze was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Dubrov. Dubrov rushes Blaze and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Dubrov lands a hook that snaps the head of Blaze backwards. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Blaze lands a body punch in the clinch. A head punch blocked on the inside by Dubrov. Dubrov connects with a nasty looking knee right to Blaze's face.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Dubrov creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Blaze managing to block the knees to the body from Dubrov.

Dubrov gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Dubrov being controlled here, momentarily. Dubrov pushes Blaze off and gets back to his feet.

Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Dubrov walks away with a smile on his face. Blaze gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Pavel Dubrov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Dubrov jabbing away but nothing is landing. Blaze fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Dubrov to the ground. Blaze is now in Dubrov's guard. Blaze stopping the sweep attempt from Dubrov. Dubrov has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Dubrov wants to stand up but Blaze is controlling him. Blaze postures up in Dubrov's guard and throws a big left but Dubrov blocks it. Blaze slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Blaze wants to lay and pray for a moment but Dubrov keeps working.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dubrov manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Dubrov tries to stand but his arm is trapped. Dubrov prevents Blaze from improving his position. Blaze is working hard here to advance position.

Blaze lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Blaze throws a big right hand that misses. Dubrov is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Blaze sitting in guard, not really doing much. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Dubrov throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Blaze blocks it with crossed arms. Blaze has Dubrov pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Blaze pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Dubrov tumbling to the mat - Blaze dives into Dubrov's guard. Blaze postures up.
Dubrov has control of Blaze's left arm, preventing Blaze from doing any damage. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Blaze looking to hit a scissor sweep but Dubrov is one step ahead there. Blaze has a closed guard, preventing Dubrov from standing up. Dubrov being controlled here momentarily. Blaze seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.

Blaze is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Dubrov to keep the fight standing. Blaze's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Blaze has a couple of punches blocked by Dubrov.

And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Pavel Dubrov. Well Dubrov has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
