Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dean Corll (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pikku Kakkipylly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Corll comes into the arena with South Texas Death Ride blaring out of the sound system. Pikku Kakkipylly told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Corll throws a head kick that misses.
Corll catches Kakkipylly with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Corll takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

We've been hearing reports that Corll has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Corll feints and then cracks Kakkipylly's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Kakkipylly down.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kakkipylly throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

and Kakkipylly counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Corll is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Corll throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Corll lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Kakkipylly does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Corll pushes Kakkipylly against the cage. Corll is working some dirty boxing. Corll pushes off with a quick right hook! Kakkipylly goes down! Kakkipylly tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Corll moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!
