0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Striker Of Steel! The judges for this bout are Josh West, Roger Salmon and Micheangelo Fripello.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Steel gets caught flat footed, as Kovac shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Kovac controlling from the top position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kovac is looking to work some ground and pound but Steel has wrist control. Kovac might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Steel wants to get back to his feet but Kovac is in a dominant position and won't allow it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kovac accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Kovac has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Kovac winds up and cracks Steel with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Kovac keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Kovac prevents Steel from standing back up.

Steel is trying to get back to his feet but can't. Steel is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Kovac looking to finish Steel with some ground and pound. This is bad for Steel! Kovac tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Kovac fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Kovac bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Kovac throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

Steel is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Kovac has just dragged him back down to the mat. Kovac misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Steel is being controlled here. Kovac lands a nice forearm strike. Kovac looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Steel is avoiding damage well.

Kovac has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
And that's the end of the fight! Miso Kovac showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Kovac, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
