Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Harcin Meld (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eduardo Zapata (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zapata has chosen Rage Against The Machine - Killing In The Name as his entrance music. Harcin Meld has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown attempt by Zapata or perhaps it was just good defense by Meld, which made it look bad.

Harcin Meld has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Eduardo Zapata.

Meld had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Zapata defends it easily.
Meld has momentary wrist control but Zapata slips an elbow through the middle.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Zapata has an Americana. Meld didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Zapata is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Zapata hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
