Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Paddy McIrish (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maxim Taisumov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Taisumov is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: eRa- Enae Volare Mezzo. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Paddy McIrish! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Maxim Taisumov! The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Reed Andrews and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McIrish looks for a takedown but Taisumov sprawls well. McIrish really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Taisumov looks to land a combination but McIrish avoids it well. McIrish looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Taisumov is fending him off so far but McIrish persists. Nope, Taisumov circles away and we're back to standing. Despite the aggression on Taisumov's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. McIrish manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Taisumov on his heels. He'll look to pass Taisumov's guard now, I'm sure. McIrish lands a couple of digs. McIrish won't allow Taisumov to get back to his feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Taisumov is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. Taisumov is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. Taisumov breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
That's one minute gone in the round. McIrish throws a right hand that misses
and Taisumov counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Sloppy strikes from Taisumov. Those never looked like landing. A little feinted left hand from McIrish on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Taisumov takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
McIrish shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Taisumov as he avoids it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Paddy McIrish. That's going to take a lot out of him. McIrish tries to score a power double leg takedown but Taisumov sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten McIrish somewhat. No joy there for Taisumov, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
An attempted straight right counter from McIrish misses the target. Taisumov throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and McIrish counters with a nice uppercut.
That's two minutes gone in the round. McIrish fails miserably with a takedown attempt. McIrish moves in looking to clinch but Taisumov pushes him off. Taisumov works the jab nicely. Taisumov throws a series of punches but McIrish moves out of range. McIrish swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Taisumov keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Taisumov pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces McIrish back to the cage. Taisumov follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McIrish fails with a takedown attempt. A combination from Taisumov does no damage. McIrish was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. McIrish looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Taisumov fails to land with a series of punches.
Taisumov looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. The fight stays on the outside here - McIrish looks like he's thinking about clinching though. McIrish tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Taisumov swivels and escapes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A jab lands there for McIrish. Taisumov swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Taisumov throws a right hand that McIrish ducks under and follows up with a left that McIrish also avoids with ease. McIrish gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Taisumov counters with a straight right hand. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Maxim Taisumov dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
McIrish misses with a wild body shot. Taisumov lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. McIrish throws a series of punches but Taisumov moves out of range. McIrish throws a wild combination but nothing lands. As McIrish backs off Taisumov throws a huge counter combo but McIrish manages to avoid it all. Taisumov throws a right and a left that both miss. McIrish rushes Taisumov and presses him up against the cage. McIrish has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Taisumov is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Taisumov escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

McIrish with a lazy takedown attempt and Taisumov counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Paddy McIrish. That's going to take a lot out of him. Taisumov fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Taisumov moves away from the strike by McIrish. Taisumov has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Taisumov connects with a right that clearly hurt McIrish. He's backed up against the cage with nowhere to go as Taisumov proceeds to tee off with vicious combinations till McIrish collapses and taps out under the pressure!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:50 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Maxim Taisumov! A very excited looking Maxim Taisumov made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
