Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Corvo Attano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sigurd Ragnarsson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Corvo Attano! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sigurd Ragnarsson! The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Russell Pearce and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ragnarsson scores with a hook to the body. Attano takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Ragnarsson keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Ragnarsson throws a jab when Attano was well out of range. Ragnarsson throws a body shot but no joy. Ragnarsson looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Ragnarsson trying to control the position from guard on top but Attano is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Ragnarsson controlling from the top position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Let's hope that Ragnarsson has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Ragnarsson sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Attano's guard. Attano is trying to stand.
Ragnarsson perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Ragnarsson is trying to control the action in half guard but Attano is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. We've been told by Attano's head coaches at Slaughterhouse - LOD that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Attano throws a jab but it's blocked by Ragnarsson. Attano lands a nice shot to the body.
Attano throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Ragnarsson has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Attano misses with a left hand and Ragnarsson counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Ragnarsson is trying to control. Attano wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Attano is defending against the submission attempts here by Ragnarsson.
Ragnarsson wants to work for an arm triangle but Attano is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Ragnarsson is keen to just control but Attano is a slippery customer. Ragnarsson controlling the action here. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ragnarsson wants to free his trapped foot but Attano is holding on for dear life with his legs.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Ragnarsson keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Corvo Attano seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Attano slips a straight right by Ragnarsson. Attano throws a hook but Ragnarsson blocks it. Attano throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Ragnarsson ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Ragnarsson uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Attano.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Attano lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. A combination from Attano does no damage. Attano misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Ragnarsson.
A big left from Attano misses. Attano fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Ragnarsson scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Attano throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Attano scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Ragnarsson uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Ragnarsson steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Attano. Attano gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Ragnarsson to score an easy takedown into full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ragnarsson looking to pass the guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Sigurd Ragnarsson will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Attano takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Corvo Attano is winning the standup battle so far. A looping hook to the body misses from Attano. Ragnarsson does a little dance to reset his feet. Ragnarsson changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Attano cracks Ragnarsson with an open hand slap. Attano misses with a two punch combination.
Attano scores with a hook. Attano slips under a jab. Ragnarsson connects with a body shot that sends Attano's belly button to the back. Attano throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Ragnarsson changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Attano throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Ragnarsson counters with a takedown into side control. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Attano tries to bench press Ragnarsson off him but Ragnarsson keeps the position. Ragnarsson is looking to take a break and control but Attano is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Ragnarsson goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Attano rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Ragnarsson's guard! Nice work there by Attano!
That's one minute gone in the round. Ragnarsson has Attano pulled in close to control his posture. Attano trying to stand up but can't free himself from Ragnarsson's guard. Attano is posturing up here but Ragnarsson has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Attano tries to roll out but it's too tight and Attano has to tap! Slick submission there by Ragnarsson!
