Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Zed Op (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeff Gower (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Zed Op!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jeff Gower!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Sosuke Kotani and Hirohito Nitta.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gower scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.


It looks like Zed Op has been cut.
Op tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Gower swivels and escapes.

Gower rushes Op and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
The referee calls for Gower to work.
Gower looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Gower throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
A short right from Gower.
Op fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Gower lands a left hand that snaps the head of Op backwards.
Gower works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Gower pushes Op back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Still in the clinch, Gower scores with a nice short uppercut.
Gower lands with a right to the head.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Gower tries to land knees in the clinch but Op avoids the damage to the body.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Gower.
Op is breathing heavily.
A short uppercut from Gower.
Op doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Gower lands a left hand that snaps the head of Op backwards.
Gower lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Op missing with knees to the body.

Gower lands a body punch in the clinch.
Gower lands a right hand.
Gower lands with a right to the head.
Gower is stalling here.
Gower lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Gower gets through Op's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Gower misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Op.
Gower scores with a shoulder strike.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Gower.
Gower tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Op avoids it.
Gower lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

Gower's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Gower closes the distance and clinches.
Gower lands a body shot.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Gower.
Gower lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.

Gower makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.

Op is rocked!

Oh Op is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Gower cracks Op with a nice body shot.
Op seems to have got his legs back now.
Gower missing with knees to the body.
Gower digs a right hand into Op's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Op's gas tank.
Gower softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
Gower is leaning against Op and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Op letting Gower take a breather here.
Gower is struggling to control the position.
Gower lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Gower scores with a nice hook to the head.
Gower misses with a knee strike.
Gower lands a left hand.
Gower lands a good knee to the midsection. Op won't want to take too many of those.

Gower creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Op with a big uppercut! Op tries to clinch up but Gower pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Op to the mat! Op covers up and Gower unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:10 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Jeff Gower!
