The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carver takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

Van Kildov rushes Carver and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Van Kildov slows down the pace here.

Carver looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Carver is trying to pull guard but Van Kildov turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Denver Carver. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Carver drags the fight down to the ground.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Van Kildov decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Good leg kick by Van Kildov there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Van Kildov keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Carver is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.

Van Kildov is trying to trip Carver. He has hold of a leg but Carver is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Van Kildov persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Van Kildov stands and steps away. Carver gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

and Carver counters with a three punch combo that has Van Kildov backing up. Van Kildov nods at Carver to acknowledge the strikes.

and Van Kildov counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Van Kildov scores with a sloppy right hand. Carver should have avoided that one.

Carver is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Van Kildov has managed to clinch.
Oh Carver is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Van Kildov lands a big knee to the head and Carver goes down! Van Kildov pounces and finishes the fight with strikes! He jumps to his feet and celebrates with the crowd!
