Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rick Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Humphrey Sloan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rick Johnson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Humphrey Sloan! The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, John Roberts and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Horrible takedown by Sloan or perhaps it was just good defense by Johnson which made him look bad. Excellent takedown into side control there by Johnson. Sloan gets back to half guard. Sloan is looking to control Johnson's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Sloan avoid being mounted? Sloan looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Well, if Johnson is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sloan trying to control from the bottom.
Sloan is trying to get back to full guard. Johnson lands strikes from half guard. Johnson passes to full mount! Johnson trying to control but he's not successful this time. Sloan is looking to get to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Johnson trying to control but he's not successful this time. Johnson looking to control and managing it successfully. Johnson can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Sloan is looking to escape.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sloan wants to hold on but Johnson pushes him away. Sloan is looking to improve his position but Johnson isn't that keen on the idea. Johnson fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Johnson with good strikes from the mount here! Sloan manages to regain half guard. Good work. Sloan is staying active underneath Johnson, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Johnson works his way into full mount! Johnson landing shots from mount. Johnson prevents Sloan from getting the reversal. Johnson wants to control the pace but Sloan is squirming around nicely. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Johnson controlling from the full mount. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Johnson lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

Johnson is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Sloan looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Sloan throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Johnson sees it coming and avoids it easily. Sloan circles away from the clinch attempt.
Sloan misses the shot to the body. Sloan tries to clinch and Johnson counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Johnson pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Sloan is keeping the position for now. Sloan looking to control.
Sloan has his foot on Johnson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Johnson works his way back into a safe position though. Sloan is breathing heavily. Johnson trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Johnson preventing the sweep. Johnson sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Sloan's guard. The fighters are battling for position here. Sloan manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Johnson trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Johnson has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Sloan trying to keep a closed guard but Johnson is proving a slippery customer.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Johnson throwing strikes from guard but Sloan blocks nicely. Sloan is trying to control the position but Johnson postures up. Sloan bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Johnson's guard. Sloan pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Johnson is keeping the position for now. Sloan stands and steps away. Johnson gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Johnson with a poor takedown and Sloan counters with a flying knee. Nice. Johnson wants to clinch. Johnson shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Sloan pinned against the cage. Sloan gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Johnson will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rick Johnson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Johnson throws a leg kick but Sloan checks it. Sloan has his takedown stuffed and Johnson counters with a shoot takedown. Sloan fights it but they end up in guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sloan is trying to control the position but Johnson postures up. Johnson passes Sloan's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Sloan pushes Johnson off looking to stand but Johnson dives back in and keeps control.
Sloan tries to get to full guard but Johnson has control of the leg. Sloan is staying active underneath Johnson, who seems content to just control the action from this position. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Johnson lands a nice short elbow. Johnson stalling away here and it's allowed Sloan to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Johnson being controlled here momentarily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rick Johnson dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Sloan is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Johnson looking to control but Sloan is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Johnson controlling from the full mount. Sloan tries to lock up and control but Johnson gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Sloan is looking to get to half guard. Johnson with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Sloan is trying desperately to improve position. Sloan is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Johnson landing strikes, looking to finish! Sloan can't escape the position.

And that's the end of the fight! Rick Johnson showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Johnson, winning every round. Will the judges agree?
