The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Chris Downing and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Washington lands a nice looking body shot.
Washington ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Washington tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Gashimov was well out of range. Poor timing from Washington.
Gashimov throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Washington throws a big shot that misses.
Washington scores with a body shot.
A decent looking cross lands there for Washington.
Washington throws a shot from downtown. Gashimov moves away and avoids it.
Washington throws a hook but Gashimov blocks it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Washington scores with a jab to the head.
Washington looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Joe Washington seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gashimov avoids a punch combination nicely.
And Gashimov tries to counter it with a takedown but Washington pushes his down on his head and steps out.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Washington lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Gashimov backs up against the cage.
Nice jab there from Washington.
Gashimov is rocked!
Washington throws a right and a left that both miss.
Gashimov feints the counter takedown.
Washington looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Gashimov slips under a jab from Washington.
Washington cracks Gashimov with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Washington connects with a crisp jab.
Gashimov is still on wobbly legs! Can Washington finish him?
Washington lands a hook that stumbles Gashimov back into the cage. Washington follows up with a straight and another hook that land right on the button, dropping Gashimov to the canvas! Washington pounces and lands several unanswered shots - Gashimov has had enough and taps out! This one is all over!
