The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bishop avoids the body shot from Hitogoroshi.
Ren Hitogoroshi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hitogoroshi swinging wildly here.
Bishop attempts a counter takedown but Hitogoroshi avoids it well and moves away. Bishop tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Hitogoroshi swivels and escapes. Hitogoroshi throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Bishop. Bishop gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Hitogoroshi. Bishop throws a hook to the side of Hitogoroshi's head but Hitogoroshi sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bishop displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Hitogoroshi throws out the jab. Bishop avoids a punch combination nicely.

He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
