And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Max Teller!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Robert Twigg and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aldez avoids the body shot from Teller.
Teller throws a nice looking combination but Aldez bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Teller's coach down at Elite Dojo [21 Coaches / 52 cap] was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Teller's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Horrible takedown attempt by Aldez or perhaps it was just good defense by Teller, which made it look bad.
As Aldez backs off Teller throws a huge counter combo but Aldez manages to avoid it all.
Teller throws a right hand that Aldez ducks under and follows up with a left that Aldez also avoids with ease.
Aldez shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Teller but Teller pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Teller looks to throw the jab but Aldez is out of range.
Aldez shoots in but Teller avoids the takedown attempt easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Roberto Aldez. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Teller throws a big overhand right that connects, sending Aldez tumbling to the canvas!


It looks like Roberto Aldez has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Teller got a little sloppy there for a moment and Aldez has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Teller has managed to get both his arms back between Aldez's legs - danger averted.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Teller can do anything to dispel that myth.
Teller utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Aldez passes Teller's left leg - he's now in half guard.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Aldez prevents Teller from standing back up.
Aldez will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Aldez escapes and gets back to his feet.
Teller is looking to clinch.
As Teller tries to get set, Aldez tries to push him back and clinch up but Teller manages to avoid the attempt.
Teller swings and misses with a hook to the body.
A punch combination from Teller misses.
Aldez tries to counter by clinching up but Teller breaks away and moves out of range.
Aldez lands with a kick to the temple. Teller shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Teller closes this distance looking for a takedown but Aldez circles away.

Teller scores with a jab. Aldez acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Aldez darts in looking for a takedown but Teller gets double underhooks and turns Aldez into the cage.

and Aldez counters with a one-two to the body.
Teller misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Teller darts in and clinches Aldez up against the cage.
Teller prevents a body shot from Aldez.
Aldez jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Teller walks away with a smile on his face. Aldez gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Aldez is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Aldez avoids a punch combination nicely.

Teller closes the distance and clinches.
Aldez tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Teller smiles and moves away.
Teller cracks Aldez with a good jab.
Teller misses with a two punch combination.

Aldez seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Aldez fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Teller defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Aldez.
Teller lands a lovely overhand right.


Roberto Aldez's cut is getting worse.
Teller doesn't manage to clinch there - Aldez circles away.
Aldez feinted with a counter takedown.
Teller fails to land with a series of punches.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Aldez shoots in for a takedown but Teller shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Aldez shoots in looking for a takedown but Teller manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Aldez's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Aldez is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Teller's half guard.

Aldez is trying to drag Teller to the mat but Teller just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Aldez has Teller pressed against the cage, preventing Teller from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Aldez had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Teller defends it easily.
Teller postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Teller lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Teller really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Aldez. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Aldez keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Teller's efforts to push away.

Teller clinches up against the cage.

Aldez ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Aldez no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Aldez has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Teller can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Teller accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Teller throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Aldez sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Aldez ducks under a wild hook from Teller.

Teller jabs at Aldez's body.
Teller looks to land a combination but Aldez avoids it well.
Teller pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Aldez throws a counter high kick but Teller was just alert enough to avoid it.

A nice side step and Teller releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.

Aldez misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Aldez fails in his attempt to clinch.
Teller tries to score a power double leg takedown but Aldez sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Teller somewhat.
Teller keeps the fight on the outside.
Max Teller seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Teller looks to land a combination. Aldez sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Aldez throws a combination. Teller tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Teller rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Aldez moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Aldez closes the distance and pushes Teller back into the cage.

Aldez escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Aldez avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Teller tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Aldez was well out of range. Poor timing from Teller.
Teller throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Aldez tries for a takedown but Teller sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Aldez keeps the fight on the outside.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Aldez stuffs the takedown.
Teller misses with a double jab.
Aldez tries to close the distance and clinch up but Teller swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Teller has taken the fight to the clinch.
Aldez fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Teller wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Max Teller comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Teller has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
