The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ronaldo checks a leg kick.
Ronaldo connects with a good right hand that stumbles Gravity. Gravity circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Gravity just misses with a punch to the body.
Ronaldo avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Gravity shoots in for a takedown but Ronaldo shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Gravity throws a body kick that misses.
Ronaldo takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Gravity lands a really nice looking cross but Ronaldo seems unphased.
Ronaldo throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Gravity has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Gravity throws a body punch but Ronaldo moves out of range.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Ronaldo has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Ronaldo shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Gravity throws a nice looking combination but Ronaldo bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Gary Gravity seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Gravity is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Gary Gravity was interviewed post fight and said 'Well shit, looks like I need to go away and re focus.'.
