Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Gareth Mark!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, William Gold and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mark closes the distance and clinches.
Saunders has Mark pressed against the cage, preventing Mark from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Mark is trying to break the clinch but Saunders is controlling him.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Mark throws a series of punches but Saunders avoids them all with ease.

Mark feints and as Saunders raises his hands in defense, Mark changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Saunders is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Saunders is working hard here to advance position.

Mark is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Saunders defends it well.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Mark seems to be looking for submissions.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Gareth Mark dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Saunders throws a chopping leg kick but Mark manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Mark tries to clinch but Saunders moves out of range.
Saunders is trying hard to land a takedown here. Mark sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Mark clinches up with Saunders and pushes him back against the cage.
Saunders is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Mark pulls him back up using the underhooks.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Mark creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Mark breaks from the clinch.

Mark closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Saunders to the mat! Saunders manages to get full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Saunders wants to sweep here but Mark controlling him for the moment.
Mark has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Mark trying to stand up but can't free himself from Saunders's guard.
Mark slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Mark trying to control but Saunders is working from the bottom.
Mark sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Mark's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Mark connects with a right that clearly hurt Saunders. He's backed up against the cage with nowhere to go as Mark proceeds to tee off with vicious combinations till Saunders collapses and taps out under the pressure!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Gareth Mark!
