Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Timothy Poggle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gene Parmesan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these fighters are unbeaten, so somebody's 0 has got to go!Timothy Poggle could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Gene Parmesan's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Timothy Poggle! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Gene Parmesan! The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Ben Hemmingworth and Francis DeMontford.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Parmesan fails with the takedown and Poggle counters with a leg kick. Poggle ducks under a wild hook from Parmesan. Parmesan closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Poggle gets through Parmesan's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
It looks like Gene Parmesan has been cut. Parmesan wants to stall.

Poggle scores with an uppercut up the middle. Poggle struggles to land a body shot inside as Parmesan controls his hands.
Poggle tries to stall but Parmesan uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Poggle misses with a hook from the clinch. Poggle misses with the head strike.

That's one minute gone in the round. Parmesan pulls guard successfully.
Parmesan tries to land a sweep but no joy. Parmesan is trying to control the position but Poggle postures up. Poggle stays in close to Parmesan's body and controls the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Parmesan wants to sweep here but Poggle controlling him for the moment. Poggle wants to control from the top but Parmesan keeps moving. Poggle stopping the sweep attempt from Parmesan.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. An inside leg kick lands from Poggle. Parmesan misses the shot to the body. Parmesan takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
A big left from Parmesan misses. Poggle appears to be looking for a big counter. Poggle throws a half hearted mid kick. Timothy Poggle is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Parmesan swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Parmesan looks to land a right hand but Poggle moved out of range. Good leg kick by Poggle there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Parmesan throws a body punch but Poggle moves out of range. Poggle feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Parmesan's calf. Poggle slips under a jab from Parmesan.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Parmesan moves out of range of the body kick from Poggle.
Parmesan tries to counter with a clinch but Poggle shakes him off and moves away. Poggle fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Parmesan on the side of the head. Poggle takes a swing at Parmesan's ribcage but misses. Parmesan gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Parmesan gets through Poggle's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Parmesan decides to pull guard. Parmesan has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Poggle can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Poggle cracks Parmesan with a solid left hand. Poggle slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Poggle stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Parmesan swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Poggle stopping the sweep attempt from Parmesan. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Parmesan is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Poggle defends well. Poggle has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Poggle trying to control the position from guard on top but Parmesan is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Poggle got a little sloppy there for a moment and Parmesan has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Poggle has managed to get both his arms back between Parmesan's legs - danger averted. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Timothy Poggle will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Gene Parmesan's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Parmesan is defended easily by Poggle. Poggle jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit. Poggle moves out of range of the strikes. Nice body kick from Poggle. Parmesan takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Parmesan throws a shot from downtown. Poggle moves away and avoids it. Poggle misses with a body shot.
Parmesan loads up on a big right hand but Poggle slips the punch. Poggle feints and then cracks Parmesan's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Parmesan down. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Poggle misses with the combination.
Parmesan takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
That's one minute gone in the round. Donk. Parmesan catches Poggle right on the button with a cross. Parmesan swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Parmesan misses with a left hand and Poggle counters with a left to the body. Poggle bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Parmesan looks to land a left hand but Poggle moved out of range nicely. Parmesan feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Poggles jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Parmesan goes for a double leg but Poggle avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Poggle continues to drive forward. It looked like Poggle wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Parmesan throws a lazy right hand but Poggle sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Parmesan has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Poggle. Poggle works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Poggle throws a head kick that half lands.
Parmesan takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Parmesan lands a nice hook to Poggle's body. Poggle takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Poggle throws a body shot but no joy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Poggle keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Parmesan fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Poggle, pushing him back against the cage. Parmesan is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Poggle gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Timothy Poggle has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gene Parmesan. Poggle misses with a punch on the inside.
Poggle tries to work over Parmesan's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Parmesan doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Parmesan blocks an uppercut.
Poggle lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Parmesan tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Parmesan is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent. Parmesan can't get the takedown.
Poggle misses with a short punch on the inside. Poggle working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Parmesan pushes Poggle back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Parmesan has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Poggle uses from the top position. Poggle is stalling in the full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Poggle trying to control but Parmesan is working from the bottom. Parmesan is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Poggle looking to sit in guard and control but Parmesan gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Parmesan is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Poggle is trying to control the position from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Parmesan is looking to advance position but Poggle has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
We've been hearing good reports from Poggle's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Parmesan tries to reverse the position but Poggle maintains control. Parmesan is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Poggle avoids the attempt from Parmesan to control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Timothy Poggle dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Gene Parmesan's cut. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Poggle uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Parmesan.
Parmesan fails with the takedown and Poggle counters with a straight right hand. Poggle connects with a crisp jab. Timothy Poggle is winning the standup battle so far. Parmesan tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Poggle was well out of range. Poor timing from Parmesan. Poggle cracks the inside of Parmesan's front leg. Poggle is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Parmesan can do to turn this around? Parmesan rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Poggle counters with a nice body kick. Poggle scores with a jab to the head.
Poggle bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Parmesan throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Poggle tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Parmesan is in Poggle's guard. Poggle looking to control.

That's one minute gone in the round. Parmesan throws an elbow that misses. Poggle uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Parmesan's guard. Nice move by Poggle!
Parmesan looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Poggle passes into side control.
Parmesan is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Parmesan has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it. Poggle is looking to take a break and control but Parmesan is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Parmesan is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Poggle passes to side control. Parmesan is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Poggle off and has taken his back! Poggle can't escape the position.
Can Poggle hold on?! Parmesan is landing more strikes to his hapless foe.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Poggle has his hands over his head blocking the strikes from Parmesan. Parmesan not allowing Poggle to control his hands. Poggle tries to roll but Parmesan sticks to his back.
Gene Parmesan has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Parmesan tightening his grip on Poggle, looking for the choke. Parmesan is not going to allow Poggle to sit and survive in this position. Parmesan is throwing punches to the body, looking to soften Poggle up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Poggle manages to reverse the position and now he's in Parmesan's guard. Nice work there by Poggle.
Parmesan is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Parmesan is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Poggle is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Parmesan wants to finish this one by submission but Poggle is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Parmesan.
And that's the end of the fight! Gene Parmesan comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Poggle has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
