Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jon Calderwood!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Mauricio Rocha and Alexandre Firmino.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dedal looks to score with a jab to the body but Calderwood is just out of range.
Dedal looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Dedal throws a combination that misses
and Calderwood counters with a left and a right that stings Dedal.

Dedal drops Calderwood with a right and a left! Dedal comes rushing in but Calderwood regains his composure and manages to keep Dedal in guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Calderwood looking to hit a scissor sweep but Dedal is one step ahead there.
Calderwood working a defensive guard but Dedal manages to pass into side control anyway.
Calderwood is looking to regain half guard here but Dedal keeps moving and retains side control.
You can see the frustration on Calderwood's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Dedal decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Dedal lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Calderwood circles away quickly and effectively.
Dedal tries to bum rush Calderwood with a series of wild strikes but Calderwood uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Iker Dedal is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Nice takedown defense from Dedal. No joy for Calderwood on that attempt.
Dedal has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Turka Elite Gym in the buildup to the fight.
Calderwood misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Dedal throws a body punch but Calderwood moves out of range.
It seemed like Calderwood was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Dedal throws a nice looking combination but Calderwood bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Dedal lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Dedal throws a hook but Calderwood avoids it easily.
Calderwood takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Dedal stuffs the takedown attempt from Calderwood. Calderwood gets slowly back to his feet.
Calderwood darts in looking for a takedown but Dedal gets double underhooks and turns Calderwood into the ropes.
Iker Dedal has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jon Calderwood.
Dedal looks to land a combination but Calderwood avoids it well.

Dedal lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.


Calderwood is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Dedal throws a series of punches but Calderwood avoids them all with ease.
Calderwood is still on wobbly legs! Can Dedal finish him?
Dedal works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Calderwood misses with a takedown attempt - Dedal sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Iker Dedal seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dedal throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Calderwood seems to have recovered his senses.
Calderwood will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Calderwood looks winded!
Dedal throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Calderwood.
Calderwood shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Dedal defends it nicely.
Calderwood gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Dedal drops Calderwood with a left and a right! Oh, Calderwood is hurt - Dedal dives into side control looking to finish!

Calderwood seems a little lost for a moment, as Dedal dominates the positioning.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Dedal decides to stand up, so the ref orders Calderwood to his feet.
Dedal throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Calderwood throws a big counter head kick but Dedal avoids it with no problem.
Horrible takedown attempt by Calderwood or perhaps it was just good defense by Dedal, which made it look bad.
Calderwood misses with a takedown
and Calderwood takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Calderwood looks to land a combination but Dedal avoids it well.
Calderwood looks up at the clock. Bad move! Dedal lands a right hand from hell, dropping Calderwood. Dedal pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
