Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mairbek Krylov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Lancier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lancier has chosen Set To Fail as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mairbek Krylov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Chris Lancier! The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Shirou Masuda and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Krylov gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Lancier to score an easy takedown into full guard. Lancier wants to control from the top but Krylov keeps moving. Krylov can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Lancier controls the pace. Lancier trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lancier drops back looking for a leg! Krylov is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Krylov manages to kick Lancier off! Lancier jumps back into Krylov's guard. Lancier stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Krylov swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Krylov being controlled here, momentarily. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Lancier slips nicely into half guard. Lancier looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Lancier is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Krylov has managed to free his arm - good work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lancier wants to work for an arm triangle but Krylov is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Lancier content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Krylov tries to get to full guard but Lancier has control of the leg. Krylov knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Lancier on the ground.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lancier is trying to work for a kimura but Krylov is defending well.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Krylov is defending against the submission attempts here by Lancier.
Lancier works his way into full mount! Lancier is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Krylov can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lancier jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Krylov manages to avoid the submission attempt. Lancier moves into full mount! Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Krylov is looking to improve his position but Lancier isn't that keen on the idea. Lancier is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Krylov is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Krylov flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Lancier anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Krylov and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Lancier slips an arm under Krylov chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Lancier has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Lancier is squeezing on Krylov like an anaconda would it's prey. Krylov fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Chris Lancier! Post fight, Chris Lancier stared into the camera and said 'You were set to fail'.
