Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Diamonte Wideman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Airton Silverio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Emerson Jorge and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wideman showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Silverio.
Silverio lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Wideman looking to score a takedown here. Silverio is defending well but Wideman drives through and ends up in Silverio's guard.
Wideman is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Silverio is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Silverio has escaped and now he's on top!
Wideman is trying to control the position but Silverio postures up.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Wideman is looking to stand up but Silverio isn't so interested in that idea.
Silverio drops back looking for a leg! Wideman is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Wideman manages to kick Silverio off! Silverio jumps back into Wideman's guard.

Wideman really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Silverio might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Wideman haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Wideman is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Silverio drops back, looking for a kneebar! Wideman looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Wideman looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Wideman!
Silverio tries to bench press Wideman off him but Wideman keeps the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Silverio is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Wideman is one step ahead and moves to full mount!

Wideman knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Silverio on the ground.
Silverio tries to lock up and control but Wideman gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Silverio can't escape the position.
Wideman is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!
Silverio lands a two punch combo.
Airton Silverio is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
The fight stays on the outside here - Wideman looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Wideman went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Wideman takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
No luck for Wideman with that takedown attempt.

Airton Silverio seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wideman changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Silverio tries to avoid it but Wideman manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Silverio to the ground. Silverio escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Diamonte Wideman. That's going to take a lot out of him.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Silverio connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Wideman's hands.
Silverio avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Despite the aggression on Silverio's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Wideman walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Silverio misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Wideman shoots in but Silverio avoids the takedown attempt easily.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Airton Silverio dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Silverio throws an overhand right that has Wideman reeling! Silverio follows up with more punches and Wideman is out cold! This one is all over!
