Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Raptor Jones! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Caio Preuss! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Tiny Johnson and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Preuss throws a right and a left that Jones avoids nicely. Jones is looking to clinch. Jones tries to score a power double leg takedown but Preuss sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Jones somewhat. Sloppy strikes from Preuss. Those never looked like landing. Preuss tries to clinch up but Jones circles away and keeps his distance. Preuss stuffs the takedown attempt from Jones. Jones gets slowly back to his feet. Preuss misses with a few strikes there.
Jones tries to close the distance and clinch up but Preuss swats him away and circles back towards the center. Preuss throws a right and a left that Jones avoids nicely. Jones changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Preuss tries to avoid it but Jones manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Preuss to the ground. Preuss escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Raptor Jones. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jones slips a jab and a cross from Preuss.
Jones fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Jones shoots for a takedown but Preuss saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Jones tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Preuss defends well and Jones ends up having to push Preuss into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Jones slips a jab and a cross from Preuss.
Preuss sizes up Jones with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
That's one minute gone in the round. Preuss will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Jones gets a clinch. Preuss is trying to push Jones away but Jones has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Preuss pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Jones gets a clinch. Preuss wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Preuss pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Preuss lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

It looks like Raptor Jones has been cut. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Jones is looking to clinch. Jones shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Jones drops back looking for a leg! Preuss is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Preuss manages to kick Jones off! Jones jumps back into Preuss's guard. Jones tries to free his leg and advance position but Preuss is retaining full guard. Jones won't allow Preuss to get back to his feet. Jones thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Jones is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Jones drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Jones as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Preuss screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Jones! Nice submission victory there!
