Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mohammed Babak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sergio Malandro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Babak comes to the cage accompanied by Lose yourself - Eminem. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Sergio Malandro!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Babak has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Malandro.
Babak moves out of range of the leg kick from Malandro.
Babak fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Malandro sprawls well initially but Babak persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Malandro is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Babak scores with a couple of nice shots.
Malandro is trying to stand up here but Babak is controlling him well.
Babak seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Malandro pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Malandro obliges.

Babak tries to score a body lock takedown but Malandro shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Babak tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Malandro smiles and moves away.

Babak has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Babak passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Babak wants to lay and pray for a moment but Malandro keeps working.

Babak lands a strong strike to the head of Malandro. That's dazed him! Babak looking to finish here. Malandro is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Babak lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!

Mohammed Babak was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
