Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jannis Arvanitidis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rahkim Abdullah (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Ryoma Takatsuka and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Abdullah swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Arvanitidis holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Arvanitidis's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Arvanitidis misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Arvanitidis throws a nice looking combination but Abdullah bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Arvanitidis drops Abdullah with a beautiful combination! Abdullah stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Arvanitidis is looking for the KO!

It looks like Rahkim Abdullah has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Arvanitidis dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Abdullah tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Arvanitidis defends well and Abdullah ends up having to push Arvanitidis into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Abdullah has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Abdullah is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
