Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kir Kapur (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hidalgo Montoya (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kir Kapur had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 136.1lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Hidalgo Montoya has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Montoya takes a swing at Kapur's ribcage but misses.
Montoya will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Montoya just manages to avoid a counter high kick fromKapur.
Montoya throws a jab when Kapur was well out of range.
It looked like Kapur was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Sloppy strikes from Montoya. Those never looked like landing.
Kapur appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Montoya scores to the head and body with a nice combination!

Kapur is rocked!
Kapur drops his hands momentarily. Montoya doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Kapur staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Kapur doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.

Hidalgo Montoya decided to call for a title shot in his post fight interview, which was very strange given the fact this fight was for a title and he's already the champion. I guess that's what getting punched in the head does for you.
