Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Koji Murosaki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Spencer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Murosaki might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Now We Are Free. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
18 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Koji Murosaki! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
14 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joe Spencer! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Spencer swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Spencer throws a leg kick but Murosaki sees it coming and moves out of range. Murosaki looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Spencer connects with a looping right hand.
Murosaki is looking to clinch. Murosaki fails with the takedown. Spencer scores with a jab to the body. Spencer's coach down at Den of Tears (22 coaches, $500 fee) was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Spencer's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Murosaki shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Spencer sprawls well. Spencer wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Murosaki gets slowly back to his feet. Spencer scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
That's one minute gone in the round. Murosaki tries to roll over but Spencer keeps him under control. Spencer seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Murosaki does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Spencer throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Spencer seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Murosaki trying to control but Spencer postures up.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Spencer won't allow Murosaki to sweep him here. Spencer cracks Murosaki with a solid left hand. Murosaki is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Murosaki is trying to keep Spencer in close.
Murosaki looking to sweep here. No luck so far. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Murosaki lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
Murosaki is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Spencer is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Spencer has escaped and now he's on top!

Oh but he could get punished here because Murosaki has locked up a guillotine! Murosaki's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Spencer is holding on here and Murosaki must be using up a lot of energy. Spencer has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Murosaki gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
