Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Juul Hupperts! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mournfully Singing! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Alan Glass and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Singing scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Singing punishes Hupperts's body with a nice straight punch. Nice jab there from Singing. Singing ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Hupperts moves away. Singing throws a right hand that misses
and Hupperts counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Hupperts preventing the sweep. Hupperts is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Hupperts stopping the sweep attempt from Singing. Hupperts not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Singing is controlling Hupperts's posture. Singing keeping moving, preventing Hupperts from controlling successfully.
That's one minute gone in the round. Singing lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Singing tries to free his leg and advance position but Hupperts is retaining full guard. Hupperts is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Hupperts passes the guard and advances to mount! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hupperts has control of Singing's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Singing regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Hupperts wants to finish this one by submission but Singing is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Hupperts.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Singing wants to control but Hupperts is having none of it. Hupperts looking to control and managing it successfully.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Hupperts goes for an armbar but Singing turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Singing. Hupperts keeping moving, preventing Singing from controlling successfully. Hupperts lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Hupperts wants to control from the top but Singing keeps moving.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Singing had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Hupperts defends it easily. Hupperts has gone for a leg lock! Singing slips out almost immediately though and dives into Hupperts's guard. Singing wants to control from the top but Hupperts keeps moving. Singing pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Hupperts is keeping the position for now. Singing passes Hupperts's left leg - he's now in half guard. Singing is thwarting Hupperts's attempts to control the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hupperts wants to get back to his feet.
Hupperts gets full guard. Singing passes easily into side control. Nice work. Hupperts can't do much from the bottom here. Hupperts manages to work his way to half guard, despite Singing's best efforts. Hupperts is trying to get back to full guard. Singing is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Hupperts defends it well. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Singing prevents Hupperts from improving his position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Mournfully Singing will probably get the nod. That's time! Hupperts's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Hupperts engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Singing is trying to control the position but Hupperts postures up. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hupperts wants to stand but Singing is controlling his posture from full guard. Hupperts advances position into side control!
That's one minute gone in the round. Hupperts is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Singing is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Hupperts looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Singing is looking to regain half guard here but Hupperts keeps moving and retains side control. Hupperts tries for a kimura but Singing is defending well. Singing gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Singing really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hupperts. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Hupperts is looking to advance position but Singing won't allow it. Singing is looking to improve his position.
Hupperts is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Singing sees it coming and defends easily. Singing looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Hupperts is working for a kimura but Singing is defending it quite comfortably.
Hupperts has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hupperts prevents Singing from getting the reversal. Hupperts avoids the attempt from Singing to control. Hupperts prevents Singing from getting the reversal. Singing defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Hupperts. Singing sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Hupperts works his way into full mount! Juul Hupperts overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hupperts looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Hupperts takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Hupperts goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Singing is on top in guard.
Singing stands and throws Hupperts's legs to the side, diving into side control. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Hupperts is looking for a sweep. Singing is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Hupperts has escaped the position, nice work there. Singing looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Juul Hupperts dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. And we move into the final round!
Singing looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Hupperts tries to counter with a takedown but Singing is quick to defend against it. Singing stalks Hupperts and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Hupperts's face. Hupperts staggers backwards, shaken. Singing forces Hupperts back against the cage and clinches. Hupperts is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Singing is defending well. Singing has a couple of punches blocked by Hupperts.
Singing wants to stall.
Singing misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Singing prevents Hupperts from breaking the clinch. Singing lands a right hand that snaps the head of Hupperts backwards. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Singing breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Nice jab there from Singing. Singing throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Hupperts on the side of the head. Singing slaps away a takedown attempt from Hupperts, before circling back to the center of the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Singing misses with an uppercut. Hupperts saw that one coming. Singing forces Hupperts back against the cage and clinches. Singing lands on the inside with an uppercut. Hupperts prevents a body shot from Singing. Hupperts is looking to take this one to the mat. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Juul Hupperts. That's going to take a lot out of him. Singing misses with a shot to the kidneys.

Mournfully Singing seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Singing is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Hupperts.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Singing scores with a jab to the jaw. Hupperts throws a shot from downtown. Singing moves away and avoids it. Mournfully Singing seems to be getting the better of the standup. Singing darts in and clinches Hupperts up against the cage. Singing lands a body punch in the clinch. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Singing lands an uppercut. Hupperts fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Hupperts drops down looking for an ankle pick but Singing pulls his leg out and moves away.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Singing fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Hupperts is defended easily by Singing. Hupperts has Singing up against the cage in a clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Singing lands a hook to the side of the head. Singing digs a right hand underneath Hupperts's ribcage. Hupperts let out a lung full of air as it connected. Singing has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Hupperts goes for a takedown attempt but Singing pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Singing lands with a good body shot. Singing scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Singing lands a really nice looking cross but Hupperts seems unphased.
Singing gets caught flat footed, as Hupperts shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Singing keeping moving, preventing Hupperts from controlling successfully.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Singing is on top in guard.
This has been an exciting period of action! Hupperts looking to hit a scissor sweep but Singing is one step ahead there. Singing trying to control but Hupperts is working from the bottom. Singing advances position into side control! Singing is trying to get an arm triangle but Hupperts is defending well. Singing trying to control the action but Hupperts is working from the bottom. Hupperts tries to improve position but can't.
And that's the end of the fight! Mournfully Singing comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Singing has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
