Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Stephane Pompier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and New Japan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Japan has chosen The Jackie Chan Adventures Theme Song as his entrance music. New Japan is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Stephane Pompier! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, New Japan! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Japan throws a lazy head kick and Pompier counters with a nice uppercut. Japan should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Japan is looking to chop away at Pompier's legs. Pompier was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. An inside leg kick lands from Japan. Japan avoids a punch combination nicely.
Japan thuds his shin into the meat of Pompier's side. Pompier jabs at Japan's body. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pompier feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Japan sprawling to the canvas! Japan rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Pompier finish him?!
It looks like New Japan has been cut. This has been an exciting period of action! Japan throws a hook but Pompier blocks it. Pompier has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Victory Gym and Spa in the buildup to the fight. Japan takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Japan gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Pompier gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Japan is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Stephane Pompier! Stephane Pompier spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
