Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jeremy Stapleton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Flavius Odoacer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stapleton comes to the cage accompanied by Stick To Your Guns - Against Them All. Odoacer has chosen Entrance of the Gladiator as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jeremy Stapleton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Flavius Odoacer!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Donald Grub and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Odoacer. No joy for Stapleton on that attempt.
Stapleton looks to score with a jab to the body but Odoacer is just out of range.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Odoacer throws a looping overhand right but Stapleton ducks down to avoid it.

Odoacer closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Odoacer lands in his opponent's guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Odoacer lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Stapleton looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Stapleton is looking for a triangle but Odoacer pushes his legs off easily.

Stapleton controls Odoacer momentarily but Odoacer frees himself.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Stapleton looking for a sweep. Not yet Stapleton, not yet.
Stapleton bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Odoacer's guard.

Stapleton would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Odoacer is trying to control the position but Stapleton postures up.
Odoacer pulls Stapleton in close to prevent any damage.
Stapleton not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Stapleton has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Odoacer is proving hard to escape from.
Odoacer wants to sweep but no luck.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Stapleton shoots in for a takedown but Odoacer shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Stapleton wants to clinch up but Odoacer keeps it at a distance.

Stapleton lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Odoacer lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Stapleton at a distance.
Odoacer shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Odoacer scores with a sloppy right hand. Stapleton should have avoided that one.
Odoacer blocks a head kick by Stapleton.

Odoacer takes the fight into the clinch.

Stapleton tightens his grip and picks Odoacer up, before dumping him to the ground. Odoacer manages to land in guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Stapleton wants to control from the top but Odoacer keeps moving.
Odoacer bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Stapleton's guard.


Stapleton has an active guard here but Odoacer has managed to pass into half guard.

Stapleton flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Odoacer prevents Stapleton from improving his position.
Odoacer looks to score some points with some ground and pound.


It looks like Jeremy Stapleton has been cut.
Odoacer is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Odoacer moves into range and clinches up with Stapleton.

Stapleton breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Stapleton slips under a jab from Odoacer.
A swing and a miss from Odoacer.
Stapleton shoots in looking for a takedown but Odoacer manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Stapleton's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Stapleton shoots in but Odoacer avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Stapleton tries for a takedown but Odoacer sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Stapleton sets himself, and Odoacer steps forward looking for the clinch! Stapleton avoids it this time.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jeremy Stapleton. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Odoacer scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Odoacer ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Odoacer cracks Stapleton with a hook to the temple - Stapleton is on wobbly legs here! Odoacer swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Stapleton falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Odoacer wins by TKO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:40 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Flavius Odoacer!
A relieved looking Flavius Odoacer thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
