Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cinder Smaug (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nigel Pykrete (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pykrete has chosen Sympathy For The Devil as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

23 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Cinder Smaug! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nigel Pykrete! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Yves DeLean and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Smaug throws out a leg kick but Pykrete moves out of range and Smaug only half commits. Smaug takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Smaug swings and misses with a shot to the body and Pykrete counters with a nice double leg into guard. Pykrete throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Smaug works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Pykrete is looking to work some ground and pound but Smaug has wrist control. Smaug on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Smaug tries to get out of the position. Smaug explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work. Smaug throws a lazy right hand but Pykrete sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

We've been told by Smaug's head coaches at Spar or Go Home (VIP only) that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Cinder Smaug is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Smaug tries to work over Pykrete's front leg with a kick but Pykrete checks it. Pykrete closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Smaug's guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Pykrete stops Smaug from standing up. Smaug might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Pykrete trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Pykrete throws a big right hand that misses. Pykrete has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Pykrete throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Smaug works some decent striking defense from the bottom. The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Smaug misses with a head kick.
Pykrete tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Smaug scores with a push kick. Pykrete fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Smaug manages to avoid it. Smaug shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Pykrete uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Smaug.

A wild punch that just about connected. Pykrete takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Smaug gets caught flat footed, as Pykrete shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Pykrete connects with a couple of short punches. Pykrete is looking to advance position but Smaug has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Smaug wants to stand but Pykrete is holding on to him, trying to stop him posturing up.
Pykrete has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it. Pykrete is looking to get to half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Cinder Smaug will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

And Pykrete tries to counter it with a takedown but Smaug pushes his down on his head and steps out. Pykrete checks a low kick from Smaug. Pykrete takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

It looks like Cinder Smaug has been cut. A low kick from Smaug is predictable there and Pykrete counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Pykrete. Smaug pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Smaug fails to land with a series of punches.
Nice straight punches there by Smaug. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Smaug. Smaug throws a body punch but Pykrete moves out of range. Pykrete blocks a head kick by Smaug.

The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Pykrete looks like he wants to counter punch here. Smaug scores with a shot to the body.
Smaug cracks Pykrete with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Pykrete looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Smaug finish him?
Pykrete is rocked!
It looks like Nigel Pykrete has been cut. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Both fighters step back and shake their arms out. Smaug engages and cracks Pykrete with a massive lead left hook - Pykrete tumbles to the floor, out cold! What a shot! Smaug is delighted - all that hard work in training paid off!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Cinder Smaug! Cinder Smaug retains his super heavyweight title! An out of breath Cinder Smaug thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
