The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Andrew Berry and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGregor stalks Ito and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Ito's face. Ito staggers backwards, shaken.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by McGregor!
Ito tries to clinch up but McGregor circles away and keeps his distance.
Ito swings for the body but McGregor moves out of range.
McGregor digs a good hook to Ito's body.
Ito is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by McGregor.
McGregor scores with a nice head shot.
We've been hearing reports that McGregor has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
McGregor keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Ito scores with a spinning back kick!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

McGregor cracks Ito with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Ito keeps the fight on the outside.
Ito drops down looking to force a counter takedown but McGregor defends it well.
Ito feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to McGregor's calf.
Some bone on bone action there as Ito checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Ito's hands are dropping dangerously low here and McGregor connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Ito scrambles back to his feet.
McGregor scores with a jab to the head.
Ito takes a shot to the body in his stride.
McGregor is looking to clinch.
McGregor jabs Ito to the body, keeping him at a distance.

Akira Ito seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McGregor tries to work over Ito's front leg with a kick but Ito checks it.
McGregor fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Ito checks it well.
Ito tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Ito throws a quick inside leg kick.
McGregor uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Ito.
McGregor takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
