The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Venturia pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Massimo has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Venturia after a bit of a struggle.

Massimo drops down looking for an ankle pick but Venturia pulls his leg out and moves away.

Venturia does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
It looked like Massimo wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

That was a close round but I would say that Irving Massimo will probably get the nod.

Venturia moves into range and connects with a jab.
Massimo doesn't manage to clinch there - Venturia circles away.
Venturia tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Massimo is able to avoid easily.
Massimo is looking to counter the offense by Venturia and move into the clinch.

Venturia connects with a jab, followed by a picture perfect straight right that sends Massimo to the canvas, out cold! What a finish by Venturia!
