The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dejesus shoots in but Talons avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Talons misses with a two punch combination.
Talons swings away with a body shot that misses
and Dejesus counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Talons is lucky that one didn't land flush.
A head kick misses from Talons.
Talons bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Dejesus's head backwards.

It looks like Samuel Dejesus has been cut.
Sloppy strikes from Talons. Those never looked like landing.
Dejesus lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Talons pushes Dejesus up against the cage in a clinch.

Dejesus manages to break the clinch.
Dejesus really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Talons closes the distance and clinches.

Dejesus escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

and Dejesus counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Talons tries a head kick but it misses.
Dejesus swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Talons throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Dejesus shoots in looking for a takedown but Talons manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Dejesus's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Talons tries to clinch but Dejesus moves out of range.

Talons fails to land with a series of punches.
Dejesus is looking to counter with head kicks.

Dejesus closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Talons's guard.

Dejesus decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Talons rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Dejesus moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Talons looks winded!

Dejesus drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Talons can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Dejesus controls the pace.

Talons is working an open guard so Dejesus takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Dejesus tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Talons manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Talons throws a counter combo.
Tommy Talons seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dejesus fails with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Samuel Dejesus. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Talons lands a slapping body shot.

Dejesus shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Dejesus decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

Talons closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Talons drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Talons can't break the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Tommy Talons will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Samuel Dejesus's cut.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Dejesus blocks a leg kick.
Talons throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Talons looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Dejesus takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
A left lands for Talons.

Dejesus is rocked!
Talons ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Oh Dejesus is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Talons goes for a small jab and connects. Now Talons goes in closer pressing the issue. Left hook, right straight! Dejesus stumbles back but Talons runs in with a huge uppercut knocking Dejesus to the ground! What a finish! You have to wonder if Dejesus will ever be the same after a knockout like that.
