The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Shigeki Fujiwara and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johns looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Johns defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Adelhard.
Johns throws a counter high kick but Adelhard was just alert enough to avoid it.
Adelhard feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Johns's calf.
Johns throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Johns misses with a low kick.
Adelhard tries to clinch but Johns moves out of range.
Adelhard feints and then cracks Johns's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Johns down.
Adelhard lands with an uppercut that bounces Johns off the ropes and back into range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nice straight punches there by Adelhard. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Adelhard.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Adelhard has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Adelhard takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Adelhard throws a leg kick
and Johns counters with an inside leg kick.
Adelhard checks the leg kick nicely there.

Adelhard scores with a body shot.
Adelhard throws an off balance right hand
and Johns counters with an inside leg kick.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Johns - that will leave a mark!
Adelhard jabs at Johns's body.
Adelhard moves out of range as Johns throws a body kick.
Adelhard drives through and clinches with Johns against the ropes.
Adelhard avoiding damage as Johns throws knees to the body.
Adelhard is working Johns over against the ropes.
Adelhard lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Johns's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Johns tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Adelhard avoids it.
Adelhard breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Johns dives in and grabs Adelhard's left leg, looking for a takedown. Adelhard pushes down on Johns's head and hops out.
Johns looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Adelhard jabs at Johns's body.
Johns throws a leg kick
and Adelhard counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Johns is rocked!
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Adelhard fires a straight punch through the middle that cracks Johns square on the jaw! Damn, Johns is out cold on his feet and topples face first to the canvas! Wow, I haven't seen a knockout that brutal in a long time!
