Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Miguel Chavez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pena Trasseli (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Trasseli has chosen Look at my horse! as his entrance music. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 38 - 19 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Miguel Chavez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 23 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Pena Trasseli!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Tarja Halkonen and Johanna Lukiainen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chavez uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Trasseli has time to react.
Nice shot lands for Chavez.
Trasseli blocks a head kick by Chavez.
Chavez swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Trasseli.
Trasseli takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Chavez misses with a hook. Trasseli ducked under it nicely.
Trasseli slips a jab and a cross from Chavez.
Trasseli dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Chavez throws a head kick that misses.
A jab from Trasseli does it's job there.
Chavez lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Chavez connects with an inside leg kick.
Trasseli misses with a looping right.
Chavez throws a head kick that misses.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Trasseli! But no joy.
Trasseli fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Chavez checks it well.
Chavez throws a head kick that misses.
Chavez throws a half hearted mid kick.
Trasseli throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Chavez tries a head kick but it misses.
Chavez takes a jab right on the kisser.
Trasseli misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Chavez.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Trasseli throws a looping overhand right but Chavez ducks down to avoid it.
Trasseli throws a leg kick but Chavez sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Trasseli swinging wildly here.
Chavez was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Trasseli chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Trasseli looks to land a right hand but Chavez moved out of range.
Trasseli takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Trasseli misses with a body kick.
Trasseli throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Chavez throws a series of punches but Trasseli avoids them all with ease.
Miguel Chavez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Chavez looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Trasseli takes a swing at Chavez's ribcage but misses.
A head kick misses from Chavez.
Trasseli misses with a wild body shot.
Chavez misses with a wild body shot.
Chavez throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Trasseli takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Chavez tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Trasseli is able to avoid easily.
Trasseli checks the leg kick nicely there.
Trasseli throws a front kick aimed at Chavez's knee but Chavez avoids it well.
It looked like Chavez was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
A bone on bone clash there as Chavez blocks the leg kick.
Trasseli misses with a wild body shot.
Chavez checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Chavez throws a nice outside leg kick.
Trasseli throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Trasseli takes one to the chin there.
Trasseli looks to land a left hand but Chavez moved out of range nicely.
Chavez misses with a leg kick.
Trasseli ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Chavez lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Chavez misses the jab.
Trasseli throws a counter combo.
Trasseli throws the kick towards the body but Chavez avoids it.

Chavez closes the distance and pushes Trasseli back into the cage.
Chavez lands on the inside with an uppercut.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Trasseli tries for a takedown. No joy.
Chavez lands a right hand that snaps the head of Trasseli backwards.
Chavez unloads a knee to the mid-section. Trasseli lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Trasseli is trying to push Chavez away but Chavez has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Trasseli blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Chavez lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Chavez is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Trasseli is defending well for now.
Chavez lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!

Trasseli turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Trasseli manages to end up in side control.
Chavez is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Trasseli misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Chavez is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Trasseli is controlling him well.

Trasseli has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Chavez is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Trasseli yanks on the arm and Chavez is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Trasseli.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Pena Trasseli!
