Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Chiun Remo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Christopher Longstreet (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Christopher Longstreet will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Chiun Remo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Christopher Longstreet!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Franklyn Lucas and Chad Campbell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Longstreet moves out of range of the strikes.
Remo uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Longstreet.
Remo feinted with a counter takedown.
Longstreet lands a jab to Remo's midsection.
A shot to the liver by Longstreet. Beautiful body shot.
Longstreet displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Remo tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Longstreet swivels and escapes.
Longstreet connects with a nice looking jab.
No joy there for Longstreet, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Longstreet connects with a right hand. Remo shakes it off.


Remo is rocked!

Remo closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Longstreet did well to prevent Remo getting side control.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Longstreet controlling the leg, holding on to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Longstreet gets back to full guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Remo won't allow Longstreet to sweep him here.
Longstreet is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Remo throws a strike but Longstreet rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Longstreet's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Longstreet trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Remo has his foot on Longstreet's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Longstreet works his way back into a safe position though.
Remo wants to sweep here but Longstreet controlling him for the moment.

Remo is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Longstreet rolls with it to try and escape but Remo cranks on the arm and Longstreet is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Chiun Remo!
In his post fight interview, Chiun Remo started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
