Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Michal Korek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Santi Santoro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Korek comes to the cage accompanied by Touch me - Samantha Fox. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Michal Korek! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Santi Santoro! The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Jonathan Paton and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Korek throws a shot from downtown. Santoro moves away and avoids it. Santoro throws a series of punches but Korek moves out of range. Korek throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Santoro throws a right and a left that Korek avoids nicely. Korek misses with a looping right. Korek lands a glancing blow to the side of Santoro's head. Santoro throws a right and a left that both miss. Korek dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Santoro swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Korek counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Korek working some nice short punches in the clinch. Korek prevents the takedown attempt.
Korek is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Korek gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Santoro is trying to drag Korek to the mat but Korek just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Korek slows down the pace here.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Santoro wants to take the fight to the mat but Korek manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Michal Korek has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Santi Santoro.
That's one minute gone in the round. Santoro's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Korek is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Korek gets through Santoro's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Korek lands a left hand.
Santoro is working for takedown but Korek is calmly controlling the position for now. Korek lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Santoro has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Korek lands an elbow inside.
It looks like Santi Santoro has been cut. Santoro goes for a takedown in the clinch but Korek prevents it.

I was talking to Korek's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Santoro drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Santoro drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Korek gets the underhooks and prevents it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Korek's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Korek lands a glancing blow to the side of Santoro's head. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Santoro swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Santoro misses with a takedown and Korek counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Santoro is rocked! Korek throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Santoro on the side of the head. Santoro is still on wobbly legs! Can Korek finish him? Santoro shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Korek as he jumps to the side. Santoro seems to have recovered his senses. Korek throws a shot to the body.

Korek is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Santoro. A cross from Korek lands.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Santoro fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Korek avoids it really well and circles away. A little feinted left hand from Korek on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Korek shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Santoro eats them both and turns towards Korek to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Korek drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Santoro right on the button. Santoro goes down! Korek follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Korek gets the win via TKO!
