Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Cletus Kasady (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rose Red (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rose Red has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Cletus Kasady's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Cletus Kasady! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rose Red! The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, John Kavanagh and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kasady is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Red. Jab from Red. Red is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Kasady. Kasady circles away from the clinch attempt.
Red pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Red misses with a hook. Kasady takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Kasady defending well as Red loads up on a big left hand. Red works over Kasady's head and body with a nice combination. Kasady throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Red lands a jab to the nose. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Red tries to work over Kasady's front leg with a kick but Kasady checks it. Kasady looks for a takedown but Red sprawls well. Kasady fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Red tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Kasady defends well and Red ends up having to push Kasady into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. A jab from Red misses. Kasady has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Disciples Top Team in the buildup to the fight.
That's one minute gone in the round. Red fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kasady manages to avoid it. Red connects with a good right hand that stumbles Kasady. Kasady circles away out of range and recomposes himself. A big left from Red misses. Red cracks Kasady with an open hand slap. Kasady steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Red. Kasady tries to score a power double leg takedown but Red sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Kasady somewhat. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Cletus Kasady. That's going to take a lot out of him. Red throws a shot from downtown. Kasady moves away and avoids it. Kasady stuffs the takedown attempt from Red. Red gets slowly back to his feet. A looping hook to the body misses from Red. Kasady does a little dance to reset his feet. Kasady is looking to clinch but Red is avoiding it.
Red displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Kasady. Red throws a looping overhand right but Kasady ducks down to avoid it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kasady fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Excellent takedown into side control there by Kasady. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Red is trying to get back to his feet. Red is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. Red struggling a bit here. Kasady controls the position. Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground! Red is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Kasady has just dragged him back down to the mat. Kasady lands some shots froms side control. Kasady advances nicely into full mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Red sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Red missing with punches from the bottom.
Kasady content to control rather than advance. Red is trying to stand.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kasady is controlling the pace.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Red throws a hook but Kasady blocks it. Red might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Nice defenses there by Kasady. Kasady looks for a takedown but Red sprawls well. Red misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Red looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Red wants to clinch up but Kasady keeps it at a distance. Kasady slips a jab from Red. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rose Red dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Red misses with a head kick.
Rose Red seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Red closes this distance looking for a takedown but Kasady circles away. Kasady fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Red moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. No luck for Kasady with that takedown attempt. A combination from Red does no damage. Kasady takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Red misses with a wild combination.
A slow jab from Kasady misses its intended target. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kasady doesn't succeed with the takedown letting Red counter with a right hand. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Cletus Kasady. That's going to take a lot out of him. Red misses with a straight left. Kasady attempts a counter takedown but Red avoids it well and moves away. Red with a hook. Red swings for the body but Kasady moves out of range.

That's one minute gone in the round. Red lands a really nice looking cross but Kasady seems unphased.

Red throws a right hand that misses
and Kasady counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Red wants to get back to his feet but Kasady is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Kasady sitting in guard, not really doing much. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Red doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Kasady is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Red trying to control the position.
Red has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Kasady sitting in guard, not really doing much.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Kasady uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Red. Red misses with a looping left. Kasady misses with a takedown attempt - Red sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Red is clearly looking to counter with head kicks. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. A big left from Red misses. Red throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Kasady sees it coming and avoids it easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Red rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kasady moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Kasady moves away from the strike by Red. Kasady appears to be looking for a counter takedown. The fighters circling - Red throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Kasady showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Red.
Red throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Kasady on the side of the head. Kasady moves forwards but Red connects with a nice, crisp jab. Red misses with a lunging right hand
and Kasady counters with a single leg into guard. Red didn't expect that. Red is looking to stand up but Kasady isn't so interested in that idea. Red being controlled here, momentarily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kasady keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Red's head. Kasady advances position into side control! Red is trying to escape the position but Kasady is controlling the position. Red is pushing Kasady's head away, looking to escape. Kasady manages to hold on to the position though. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. This has been an exciting period of action! Red pushes Kasady away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Kasady gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Kasady controlling the position from side mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rose Red showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Kasady shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Red but Red pushes him off and we're back to square one. Red throws out a counter right but Kasady avoids it with no problem. Rose Red seems to be getting the better of the standup. Kasady moves away from the strike by Red. Red fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Red looks to land a right hand but Kasady moved out of range. Kasady dives in for a single leg takedown but Red sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Red tries to sprawl but Kasady drives through with a takedown into half guard. Kasady is thwarting Red's attempts to control the position. Kasady is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Red wants to get back to his feet.
Red wants to control but Kasady is having none of it. Kasady unloading with bombs!
That's one minute gone in the round. Red gets back to half guard. Kasady controlling the action here. Kasady is working for a submission of some sort.
Red is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Cletus Kasady overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Red is trying to stand up here but Kasady is controlling him well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kasady works his way into full mount! Kasady controlling from the full mount. Red wants to hold on but Kasady pushes him away. Kasady takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Red trying desperately to get to his feet.

Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Kasady fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Rose Red is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Kasady takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Red is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Cletus Kasady has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Kasady lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
And that's the end of the fight! Cletus Kasady showed his dominance in that final round. I think Red has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
