Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jeromy Mcdowell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Spear Block (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jeromy Mcdowell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Spear Block !
The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mcdowell is looking to clinch but Block is avoiding it.
Mcdowell sets himself, and Block steps forward looking for the clinch! Mcdowell avoids it this time.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Block is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Mcdowell gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Block gets control of Mcdowell's arms and successfully pulls guard. Block will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Mcdowell wants to stand and escape but instead Block has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Mcdowell being controlled here, momentarily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Mcdowell is trying to hold Block in close to prevent damage but Block has managed to pass into half guard.

Block is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Mcdowell sees it coming and defends easily.
Block wants to control but Mcdowell is keeping him busy.
Block throws a strike but Mcdowell avoids it easily and moves to full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Block sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Block trying to control but Mcdowell is working from the bottom.

Block stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Block shoots in but no luck this time.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Block changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Mcdowell tries to avoid it but Block manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Mcdowell to the ground. Mcdowell escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Jeromy Mcdowell has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Spear Block .
Block shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Mcdowell as he avoids it easily.
The fight stays on the outside here - Mcdowell looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Block prevents a takedown attempt there.
Block lands with a left to the head.

Mcdowell breaks from the clinch.
Mcdowell could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Block wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Mcdowell misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Block gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Mcdowell drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Block gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Block is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Mcdowell to keep the fight standing.
Block gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Mcdowell.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Block wants a takedown.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Spear Block dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Mcdowell fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Block is clearly looking to counter with head kicks.
Block shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Mcdowell defends it nicely.

Block has closed the distance and engaged Mcdowell in a clinch.

Mcdowell tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

A punch lands to the side of Mcdowell 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Block wants to take the fight to the mat but Mcdowell manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Block is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Mcdowell escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Mcdowell closes the distance and pushes Block back into the cage.
Mcdowell pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Block has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Block is trying to stall.
Mcdowell wants a takedown.
Mcdowell drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Block gets underhooks to prevent Mcdowell's takedown attempt.
Block wants a takedown but no success here.
Block wants to get back to striking at distance but Mcdowell won't allow it.
Mcdowell is trying to maintain a safe position but Block gets an underhook and turns Mcdowell into the cage.
Block is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Mcdowell has Block pressed against the cage, preventing Block from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Block prevents a takedown attempt there.
Mcdowell wants a takedown.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Mcdowell is trying to break the clinch but Block has him pressed against the cage.
Mcdowell is trying to drag Block to the mat but Block just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Mcdowell is working for takedown but Block is calmly controlling the position for now.

Block jumps into guard, dragging Mcdowell to the mat.

Block is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Block is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Mcdowell presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

Spear Block showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Mcdowell's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. And we move into the final round!


Block with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Block fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Mcdowell attempts a counter takedown but Block avoids it well and moves away.

Mcdowell changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.

Block moves into range and clinches up with Mcdowell.

Mcdowell turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Spear Block has got the better of the ground game so far.
Block gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Block holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.

Block has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Mcdowell is on him like a limpet, forcing Block back against the cage.
Block stalls.
Block stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Block has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Mcdowell avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Jeromy Mcdowell has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Spear Block .

Block ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Block no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Mcdowell working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Block throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Block looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Block trying to keep a closed guard but Mcdowell is proving a slippery customer.
Mcdowell won't allow Block to get back to his feet.
Block takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Block misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Block throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
As Block looks to move away, Mcdowell throws a big counter combo bu Block just gets out of the way.
Block fails with a takedown attempt.
Mcdowell is looking to clinch.
Block misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Block is defended easily by Mcdowell.
Mcdowell half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.

Mcdowell slaps away a takedown attempt from Block , before circling back to the center of the mat.

Block scores with a takedown into Mcdowell's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mcdowell is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Block gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

And that's the end of the fight!
Spear Block comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Block has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
