25 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Genghis Khan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
19 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Randolph Turpin! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Turpin uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Khan. Turpin throws a right and a left that Khan avoids nicely. Turpin misses with a hook. Khan ducked under it nicely. Turpin lands the left hand.
It looks like Genghis Khan has been cut. Khan connects with a crisp jab. Decent striking displayed by Turpin there. Turpin throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Khan connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Khan keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Khan is looking to counter punch. Turpin misses with a wild combination.
Turpin takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Khan throws the kick towards the body but Turpin avoids it. Turpin throws out a counter right but Khan avoids it with no problem. Turpin misses with a body shot.
Khan appears to be looking for a big counter. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Turpin is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Khan is rocked! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Khan slips a jab from Turpin. Oh Khan is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Khan with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Khan seems to have got his legs back now. A swing and a miss from Turpin. A telegraphed right hand from Turpin misses the target. Khan takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Turpin misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Khan looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Turpin tests Khan's chin there with a solid looking shot. Khan misses with a two punch combination.
Khan ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Turpin is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Khan slips a straight right by Turpin. Khan feints and then cracks Turpin's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Turpin down. Khan steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Turpin. Turpin misses with an uppercut
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Turpin moves out of range as Khan throws a body kick.
Khan takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Turpin scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Khan scores with the left hand. Turpin knows he should have avoided that one. Khan takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Turpin swinging wildly here.
Turpin might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Turpin avoids a kick to the body.
Khan needs to keep his hands up - Turpin had a free shot at his head there. Khan lands a nice looking body shot.

Khan moves out of range of the strikes. Khan scores with a nice strike. The fighters circling - Khan throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Nice uppercut there from Turpin.
Genghis Khan's cut is getting worse. Khan throws a low kick but Turpin moves out of range easily. Turpin swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Nice jab there from Turpin. Khan uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Turpin has time to react. Khan steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Turpin. Turpin connects with a jab. Turpin cracks Khan with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Khan looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Turpin finish him?
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Turpin throws a series of punches but Khan moves out of range. Khan scores with a body shot.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Turpin takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Khan throws a hook to the side of Turpin's head but Turpin sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Turpin misses with a left hand and Khan counters with a three punch combo that has Turpin backing up. Turpin nods at Khan to acknowledge the strikes. Khan slips a jab and a cross from Turpin.
Khan feinted there with a counter leg kick. Randolph Turpin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Turpin throws a lazy right hand but Khan sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Khan chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Khan blocks a low kick nicely. Turpin misses with the combination.
Khan wants to slow Turpin down by chopping away at his legs. Turpin jabs Khan to the body, keeping him at a distance. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Turpin throws an overhand right that lands on Khan's shoulder, as Khan tries to avoid the shot. Turpin is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Khan. Turpin throws a jab when Khan was well out of range. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Randolph Turpin dominated that round. The cut man is working on Genghis Khan's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Khan connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Turpin's hands. Turpin misses with an uppercut. Khan saw that one coming. Turpin swings widly with a right hand
and Khan counters with a left and a right that stings Turpin. Turpin lands with an uppercut that bounces Khan off the cage and back into range. This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Khan might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far. Turpin takes one to the chin there. Khan throws a shot from downtown. Turpin moves away and avoids it. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Turpin throws a hook but Khan blocks it. Khan takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

and Turpin takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Khan lands with an uppercut that bounces Turpin off the cage and back into range. Turpin misses with a low kick. Khan swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Turpin throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Turpin swings and misses with a shot to the body and Khan counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. A big right from Turpin misses. Turpin moves forwards but Khan connects with a nice, crisp jab. Khan throws a nice outside leg kick. Khan misses with an attempted mid kick.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Khan ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Khan lands the left hand.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A looping hook to the body misses from Khan. Turpin does a little dance to reset his feet. The fighters circle momentarily. Turpin darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Khan throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

A jab from Turpin misses. Turpin throws a jab when Khan was well out of range. Khan lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Turpin throws a wild body kick that Khan sees coming a mile off. Khan throws a shot from downtown. Turpin moves away and avoids it. Turpin moves out of range as Khan throws a body kick.

Khan throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Turpin tries a quick counter leg kick but Khan is wise to it. Khan cracks Turpin with a good jab. Some bone on bone action there as Turpin checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Turpin looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Turpin misses with a looping left. Khan throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Khan tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Turpin was well out of range. Poor timing from Khan. Turpin has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye. Turpin moves out of range as Khan strikes. Turpin lands a head shot. Turpin digs a good body shot into Khan's ribs.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Khan defending well as Turpin loads up on a big left hand. A little feinted left hand from Khan on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Khan misses with an uppercut. Turpin saw that one coming. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Turpin misses with a straight right. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Khan takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Turpin with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Turpin throws a looping overhand right but Khan ducks down to avoid it. Turpin lands a body shot.

A nice side step and Turpin releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Khan has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Turpin finds it's way round the side to connect with Khan's head. Khan swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Turpin. Khan tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Turpin lands a head shot. Turpin's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down. Turpin drops Khan with a beautiful combination! Khan stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Turpin is looking for the KO! Turpin misses with an uppercut. Turpin connects with a solid leg kick. Turpin has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Khan throws a lazy right hand but Turpin sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Khan misses with a kick to the body.

And that's the end of the fight! Randolph Turpin comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Turpin has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
