Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ron Burgundy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ash Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Williams is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Hail To The King. Ron Burgundy has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ron Burgundy! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ash Williams! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Burgundy misses with a hook. Williams ducked under it nicely. Burgundy looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Williams throws a right and a left that both miss. Burgundy throws a hook to the side of Williams's head but Williams sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Burgundy takes a body punch but keeps moving. Williams looks to land a right hand but Burgundy moved out of range. Burgundy swings for the body but Williams moves out of range.
Williams shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Burgundy's guard. Williams trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Williams stopping the sweep attempt from Burgundy. Burgundy pulls Williams in close to his closed guard and prevents Williams from doing any damage or advancing position. Williams throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Burgundy works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Burgundy avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Burgundy manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Williams manages to get himself to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Williams trying to keep a closed guard but Burgundy is proving a slippery customer.
Burgundy might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Williams is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Burgundy throws a big elbow that misses. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Williams tries to land a sweep but no joy. Burgundy tries to stand but Williams is controlling from the bottom. Williams is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. Burgundy is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Williams looking for a takedown. Williams tries to throw a body punch but Burgundy avoids it by throwing Williams back against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Williams wants the takedown. Burgundy is fighting it off but Williams persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Burgundy's guard against the cage. Williams postures up.
Williams throws a big right hand that misses. Williams has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Williams trying to control but Burgundy is working from the bottom. Williams looking to sit in guard and control but Burgundy gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Williams bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Burgundy's guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Burgundy pulls Williams in to control the position. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Burgundy not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Williams throws a big right hand that misses. Williams pushing down on Burgundy's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Burgundy trying to control from the bottom.
Burgundy is not content to let Williams control the position. Burgundy is defending against the submission attempts here by Williams.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Burgundy wants to get back to full guard. Williams wants to take a breather but Burgundy is having none of it. Williams tries to pass the half guard into mount. Burgundy knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Williams wants to lay and pray for a moment but Burgundy keeps working. Williams is taking a breather. Burgundy says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Burgundy has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Williams finds it's way round the side to connect with Burgundy's head.
It looks like Ron Burgundy has been cut. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. A lazy left from Burgundy finds it's target. A slow jab from Burgundy misses its intended target. Burgundy is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Williams. Burgundy misses with a straight left. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ash Williams dominated that round. The cut man is working on Ron Burgundy's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Burgundy, right into the meat.
Williams is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Williams throws a sloppy head kick and Burgundy counters with a nice uppercut. Burgundy avoids the head kick by Williams.
Williams takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Williams has his takedown stuffed and Burgundy counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. An inside leg kick from Burgundy misses. Williams keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Williams tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Burgundy is able to avoid easily. Burgundy is looking to counter punch. Burgundy with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Williams to score with a decent uppercut. Burgundy fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. A swing and a miss from Burgundy. Williams is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Burgundy's half guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Burgundy is staying active underneath Williams, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Burgundy wants to get back to full guard but Williams has passed into side control. Burgundy struggling a bit here. Burgundy is looking for a sweep. Williams is looking to take a break and control but Burgundy is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Ash Williams has got the better of the ground game so far. Williams cracks Burgundy with an elbow. That is naaassty. Williams has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Burgundy taking a bit of punishment here - Williams scoring with strikes. Burgundy tries to improve position but can't.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Williams slows the pace down. Burgundy manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Williams wants to control but Burgundy is keeping busy.
Burgundy thows a huge punch but Williams dodges it nicely.
Burgundy sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Williams defending well though. Williams is looking for a sweep. Burgundy is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Still in half guard, Burgundy seems content to control. Burgundy wants to take a breather but Williams is having none of it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Williams works his way to full guard. Good work. Williams working a defensive guard here.
Burgundy won't allow Williams to sweep him here. Williams has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Burgundy trying to control but Williams is working from the bottom.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Burgundy tests Williams's chin there with a solid looking shot. Williams misses with the combination.
Williams throws an off balance right hand
and Burgundy counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Ron Burgundy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Burgundy throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Burgundy batters Williams with a massive right followed by a huge left! Williams is out on his feet looking like a zombie as Burgundy lands a final crushing right hand to drop Williams to the mat with a gruesome thud! Burgundy is running around like a mad man after that fight and for good reason!
