Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Chris Whiteman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mateusz Gamrot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Chris Whiteman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mateusz Gamrot! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fight moves into the clinch position. Whiteman wants a takedown but no success here.
Gamrot is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Whiteman gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Whiteman manages to break the clinch.
A telegraphed right hand from Gamrot misses the target. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Whiteman. Gamrot shoots in for a takedown but Whiteman shows good takedown defense. No luck for Whiteman with that takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chris Whiteman. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Horrible takedown attempt by Gamrot or perhaps it was just good defense by Whiteman, which made it look bad. Whiteman has closed the distance and engaged Gamrot in a clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gamrot has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Whiteman avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Whiteman breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Whiteman scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Whiteman shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Gamrot pinned against the cage. Gamrot gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. A momentary lapse in concentration from Whiteman enables Gamrot to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Whiteman manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Whiteman controls Gamrot momentarily but Gamrot frees himself. Whiteman wants to sweep but no luck.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Whiteman throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Gamrot escapes and throws Whiteman's legs to the side, diving into side control! Whiteman gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Whiteman keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Gamrot is working for a kimura but Whiteman is defending it quite comfortably.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Gamrot is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Whiteman keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount. Whiteman blocking the ground and pound attempt from Gamrot.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Gamrot is trying to control the action in half guard but Whiteman is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Whiteman knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gamrot on the ground. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Gamrot missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Whiteman trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!

Whiteman is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Whiteman is trying desperately to improve position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mateusz Gamrot dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Gamrot shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Gamrot showed some decent athleticism there. Nice strikes from Gamrot there. Gamrot is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Whiteman tries to roll over but Gamrot keeps him under control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gamrot stops Whiteman from getting back to his feet.
Gamrot tries to pass to full mount but Whiteman defends it. Gamrot has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Whiteman tries to roll over but Gamrot keeps him under control. Mateusz Gamrot has got the better of the ground game so far. Whiteman is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. Whiteman has hold of Gamrot's hands but Gamrot slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Whiteman looks like he's trying to stand up.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Gamrot takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Whiteman is looking to control Gamrot's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Whiteman avoid being mounted?
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Whiteman pushes Gamrot up against the cage in a clinch. Gamrot has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Whiteman is trying to keep an underhook but Gamrot manages to get the takedown into half guard. Whiteman trying to control from the bottom.
Gamrot scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gamrot is looking for a kimura but Whiteman is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Gamrot to get the leverage. Whiteman wants to control but Gamrot is keeping busy.
Gamrot looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Gamrot trying to control from half guard but Whiteman is working away. Whiteman is defending against the submission attempts here by Gamrot.
Whiteman is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Gamrot's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Gamrot's back!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gamrot tries to escape the position.
Gamrot is trying to remain composed but Whiteman is hammering down strikes to the side of his head. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Whiteman is controlling the position but Gamrot somehow manages to roll and ends up with half guard.
Gamrot tries to kick Whiteman off in order to stand up. Whiteman Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mateusz Gamrot showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Whiteman clinches up with Gamrot and pushes him back against the cage. Gamrot being controlled against the cage. Gamrot tries for a takedown. No joy.
Whiteman escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Whiteman changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Gamrot tries to avoid it but Whiteman manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Gamrot to the ground. Gamrot escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Whiteman fails with a takedown attempt. Gamrot looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Whiteman fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Gamrot. Whiteman clinches.
That's one minute gone in the round. Whiteman pulls guard. Gamrot got a little sloppy there for a moment and Whiteman has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Gamrot has managed to get both his arms back between Whiteman's legs - danger averted. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Gamrot lands a couple of decent looking shots. Whiteman is looking to stand up but Gamrot isn't so interested in that idea. Gamrot working some strikes from top position. Whiteman working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Gamrot has passed into half guard!

That's two minutes gone in the round. Whiteman has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Gamrot is working away from the top position though. Gamrot has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Whiteman tries to lock up and control but Gamrot gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gamrot raining down hammerfists from mount. Gamrot with a couple of short strikes. Gamrot lands a big elbow - Whiteman is in trouble! More strikes from the mount and Whiteman is forced to tap out!
