The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gomez takes a kick to the side of the head.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Jonson checks a leg kick.
Gomez throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Jonson lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Jonson throws a front kick that sends Gomez stumbling back into the cage.
Jonson cracks Gomez with a good jab.

Jonson moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Gomez takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Jonson throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.

Gomez throws a body punch but Jonson moves out of range.
Gomez tries to move into range but Jonson moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Gomez gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! Gomez tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Jonson is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and Gomez buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Gomez!! Gomez is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Jonson throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jimmy Jonson!
