Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Will Dearborn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Riley Marshall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marshall has chosen I Shot the Sheriff by Eric Clapton as his entrance music. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
19 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Will Dearborn! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
19 - 18 - 0, fighting out of New York, Riley Marshall! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Marshall misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Dearborn counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Dearborn scores with a nice head shot. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Marshall has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Marshall missing with a left hand there. Dearborn was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Dearborn will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Dearborn connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Marshall swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Dearborn avoids the body shot from Marshall.
Dearborn throws a quick counter kick to the body but Marshall avoids it. Marshall scores with a shot to the body.
Marshall misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Marshall changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Dearborn looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Marshall tries to move into full mount but can't pass Dearborn's legs. Marshall tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Marshall has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Dearborn tries to bench press Marshall off him but Marshall keeps the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Dearborn's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Marshall is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Dearborn is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Marshall swings around for an armbar but Dearborn sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Marshall's guard. Dearborn sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Marshall's guard. Marshall makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Marshall. Marshall had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Dearborn defends it easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Marshall looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Dearborn controlling from the top position. Marshall keeping moving, preventing Dearborn from controlling successfully. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Marshall is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Dearborn rolls with it to try and escape but Marshall cranks on the arm and Dearborn is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Riley Marshall! Riley Marshall bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
