Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Vladislav Volkov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mongolia Heed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Heed is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Gentlelman. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Heed closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Heed lands in his opponent's guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Volkov throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Heed stuffs the takedown attempt from Volkov. Volkov gets slowly back to his feet.
Heed drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Volkov defends it well.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Heed is defended easily by Volkov.
As Heed looks to move away, Volkov throws a big counter combo bu Heed just gets out of the way.

Volkov turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Volkov manages to end up in side control.

Heed tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Heed wants to get back to his feet but Volkov is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Volkov throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Heed because Volkov loaded up on that one.
Heed has given up his back here. Will Volkov look for the submission or keep pounding away?

Volkov is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Heed knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Heed for a finish.

Heed is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
Volkov punches the canvas rather than the man.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Heed is trying to break free.
Volkov controlling the position well here. Heed rolled but Volkov kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.

Heed gets the takedown into side control.
The strikes coming from Heed are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Heed really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Volkov. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Volkov manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Heed working over Volkov with some ground and pound. Volkov looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.

Heed postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
