The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Daniel shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Mcdavid sprawls well. Mcdavid wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Daniel gets slowly back to his feet.

Mcdavid goes for a double leg but Daniel avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Daniel continues to drive forward.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Daniel enables Mcdavid to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Daniel manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Daniel is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Mcdavid is fighting to break Daniel's control of his arms but Daniel is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Mcdavid takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Daniel's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
