Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Carl Carlson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, James Shark!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Robert Twigg and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Carlson has managed to clinch.
Shark's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Carlson misses with a hook from the clinch.
Carlson managing to block the knees to the body from Shark.
Shark wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Carlson has him pressed against the cage.
Shark tries to circle away but Carlson has him pinned against the cage.
Carlson lands a right hand.
Carlson misses with a hook from the clinch.
Carlson blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Shark letting Carlson take a breather here.
Shark lands a body shot.
Carlson working Shark over with knees to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Carlson keeps control of Shark as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Shark has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Shark tries to land a knee to the head but Carlson blocks with his arms.

Shark tries to land knees in the clinch but Carlson avoids the damage to the body.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Carlson will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Shark up against the cage.
Carlson tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Carlson just misses with a elbow thrown towards Shark's brow.
Carlson lands with a light punch inside.


It looks like James Shark has been cut.

Carlson drops Shark onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Shark is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!


Shark is rocked!
Carlson lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Shark backwards.
Shark is still on wobbly legs! Can Carlson finish him?
Carlson lands a big right hand that drops Shark! The killer instinct kicks in and Carlson finishes his opponent with a series of strikes from mount. A dominating finish by Carlson!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Carl Carlson!
